Our President
Mr. Andy Follaco
In January of 2026, Mr. Follaco began his new role as President, focusing on community building, enrollment, and development. Prior to that, Mr. Follaco taught for 19 years, starting his career in the Brockport Central School District where he taught middle school and high school mathematics. Mr. Follaco also coached football, indoor track, and outdoor track at Brockport and at West Irondequoit Central School District, and served many years as a volunteer faith formation coordinator at the St. Kateri Latin Mass Community at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Irondequoit. Mr. Follaco lives in Irondequoit with his wife and four children.

Miss Colleen Richards

Miss Richards has been blessed to teach in Catholic schools for many years, working with students from grades PreK through 12 before leading St. John Bosco Schools as Headmaster for eight years. She has returned to Bosco after spending several years as a faculty member with the Institute for Catholic Liberal Education, where she trained other Catholic educators in philosophy and practice that aligns with the Church’s vision for education. Miss Richards holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Secondary Education from Canisius College and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix.

Miss Michelle Schultheis
Pre Kindergarten
Miss Schultheis has a strong background in Theology of the Body and has led courses and retreats on it. She has worked on bringing people closer to Christ in secular institutions as well as through work in youth and family ministries. She is CGS Level 1 Certified. She has also served in numerous leadership capacities at Fairleigh Dickinson University, including the Catholic Campus Ministry President, 2-term Student Government President, and Commencement Speaker. Her mission is to help people believe they are created to be love; to love others and to be loved themselves.

Miss Rose Marchand
Kindergarten
Miss Marchand attended St. John Bosco Schools from 2009 - 2011 and graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Math in 2019. Since graduation she has worked in accounting in Rochester and most recently, Dallas, TX.

Mrs. Susan Mattina
First Grade
Mrs. Mattina earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the State University College at Buffalo, and she has New York State Teacher Certification. She has earned tenure in two public school districts and has Special Education experience as well.

Miss Cecilia Basile
Second Grade
Miss Basile was homeschooled K-12 through a classical pedagogy. She has recently earned her degree in Liberal Arts from Holy Apostles College. She is starting as a second grade teacher at Bosco after one year as an apprentice aide.

Mr. Robert Pokalsky
Third Grade
Mr. Pokalsky earned a bachelor’s degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville and a master’s degree from Excelsior College with New York Teacher Certification. He has been teaching for 30 years.

Mr. Joshua Snyder
Fourth Grade
Mr. Snyder felt called to Catholic classical education after 30 years teaching writing in higher education, at home and abroad, most recently at RIT. This call began as a catechist at his home parish, Saint Louis in Pittsford, in 2018. He converted to Catholicism in 2002 after reading his way into the Church. He and his wife of 26 years have three children. In his free time, he enjoys reading, listening to sacred music, and stargazing.

Mr. Ryan Stansbury
Fifth Grade
Mr. Stansbury earned his bachelor's degree from The Catholic University of America where he studied History and Philosophy. He lives in Rochester with his wife and daughters and attends Peace of Christ Parish.

Mr. Gianni Zambito
Middle School Dean
Mr. Zambito earned his bachelor's degree in History and master's degree in Education from SUNY Brockport with New York State Teacher Certification. He enjoys classical music, stargazing, reading great books, memorizing poetry, and watching football. Mr. Zambito attends St. Thomas the Apostle Church with his beautiful wife, Kayla, and their seven children.

Mr. John Magee
Middle School & Lower School Latin
Mr. Magee holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from SUNY Geneseo and a master’s degree in Public Relations from Syracuse University. He joined St. John Bosco Schools in 2022 after a career in communications, marketing, and advertising where he worked on creative teams for organizations and educational institutions. He lives in Rochester with his wife, three children, and their golden retriever.

Mr. Thomas Peterson
Middle School & Spiritual Coordinator
Mr. Thomas Peterson graduated from Ave Maria University in 2024 with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Theology. He was born and raised in Bedford, NH. He is very passionate about sharing the truths of our Catholic Faith. Mr. Peterson is excited to join the St. John Bosco community.

Mr. Sean McMahon
Middle School
Mr. McMahon holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from The University of Notre Dame. He spent 7 years as a consultant and data analyst. Mr. McMahon has previously worked in youth ministry and homeless outreach in New York City. He now lives in Rochester and attends Peace of Christ Parish.

Miss Meghan Murphy
Middle School
Miss Murphy graduated from Walsh University in 2026 with bachelor's degrees in Biology and 7-12 Integrated Science Education as well as minors in English and Environmental Science. She attended St. John Bosco Schools and Chesterton Academy of Rochester for her primary and secondary education and is excited to return to her alma maters.

Mr. Dan Kuhman
Middle School Science Labs
Mr. Kuhman is a lifelong resident of the Rochester area, having attended Aquinas Institute and Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned degrees in Chemistry and Material Science and Engineering. His professional career was spent primarily at Xerox and Kodak, working in research and product development. He maintained throughout his career a strong presence in math and science education through volunteer activities in the Webster, Fairport and Rochester City school districts. He is also a member of St. John of Rochester parish where he taught religious education for nearly 20 years. Mr. Kuhman is thrilled to join the staff at St. John Bosco, collaborating with the Rochester Museum and Science Center to bring hands on experiments in math and science to our middle school students.

Mrs. Renee Mills
Art Program
Mrs. Mills earned her bachelor's degree from Buffalo State College. She home schooled her oldest son, through high school, using Seton curriculum. She fell in love with classic literature. She has taught religious education at several grade levels. She has a deep passion for her Catholic Faith.

Mr. Sean Jefferson
Music Program
Sean Jefferson is a professional drummer, composer, and educator with 21 years of experience performing, touring, recording, and teaching. As an educator, Sean is an adjunct professor of music at Roberts Wesleyan University, where he lectures in subjects related to: 20th & 21st Century Popular Music; History of American Popular Music idioms as an art form and cultural phenomenon; and critical listening and critical analysis of popular music idioms as an art form.

Mrs. Terry Gray
Librarian
Teresa Gray earned a Bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s Dominican College in New Orleans, LA. Since arriving in Rochester in 1984, she has attended St. Thomas the Apostle Church (now SKT-LMC) in Irondequoit, with her husband Robert. She was the librarian for St. Thomas the Apostle School and Christ the King/St. Kateri School.

Miss Kacey Candea
Lower School Aide
Miss Candea studied Digital Forensics and Criminal Justice at Champlain College before discovering and falling in love with the Catholic faith, getting baptized that Fall of 2023. Since then, she's been pursuing a career in education working at Bosco and San Lorenzo Montessori in East Rochester. She loves babysitting any chance she can get and enjoys singing with her choir at St Thomas the Apostle church.

Ms. Nina Delgado
Support Staff
Ms. Delgado is a transplant from Brooklyn, NY. She studied at St. Joseph Patron of the Universal Church. She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Queens College, CUNY. Ms. Delgado worked at Most Holy Trinity Catholic School in Brooklyn. Following her move to Rochester, she worked for the Rochester City School District for 30 years. She has come full circle back to her Catholic School roots at St. John Bosco where she says “I am home!”

Mrs. Brooke Coyne, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech Pathologist
Brooke Evans Coyne is a NYS licensed and certified speech language pathologist. She is accredited with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) certificate. Brooke is a mother of three children. She and her family attend Our Lady of Lourdes church in Brighton, where they are all very active within their church and school communities.
